A contemporary hospitality atmosphere for a new chapter of Eda Oba

The project explores a softer and more atmospheric interpretation of contemporary African hospitality — balancing openness, warmth and sculptural restraint through filtered light, tactile materials and spatial rhythm.

The central bar installation was conceived as both lighting feature and spatial anchor: suspended woven metallic mesh elements creating a shifting atmosphere throughout the day and evening.

WELLNESS CLUB Concept — Fort Lauderdale

a premium recovery club shaped through science, sensory atmosphere and elemental design

Premium wellness club reception with dark wood ceiling, textured wall panels, stone counter and linear LED lighting
Hydrotherapy room with hot and cold plunge pools, natural stone finishes, perimeter lighting and reflective ceiling
Healthy bar in a premium wellness club with natural materials, greenery and warm lighting
Healthy bar and lounge seating area in a premium wellness club with natural materials, greenery and warm lighting
Dark stone steam room with warm perimeter lighting, minimalist benches and executive recovery atmosphere

A recovery club designed as a hospitality journey

The concept approaches wellness as a complete guest experience rather than a collection of treatment rooms.

The design language draws from the four elements — fire, water, earth and air — translated through warm light, natural stone, dark wood, tactile surfaces and quiet transitions. Arrival, social wellness, recovery therapies and restoration zones are connected through one coherent spatial sequence.

The project includes a reception and lobby sequence, healthy bar, focus areas, private club-style locker rooms, hydrotherapy, salt float, steam, massage and treatment rooms.

The result is a wellness environment designed for restoration, clarity and connection while keeping the operational logic of the club legible.

Isometric hospitality wellness space planning with treatment zones and warm natural materials

Eda Oba Wellness Retreat

The concept explores a quieter interpretation of contemporary wellness hospitality — structured around transition, sensory atmosphere and spatial decompression.

Layered thermal rituals, treatment rooms and restorative courtyard spaces were conceived as a continuous hospitality journey rather than isolated functions.

Natural mineral textures, filtered light and reflective surfaces create a calm architectural rhythm throughout the spa experience.

Wellness as spatial sequence.

The layout connects arrival, preparation, treatment and recovery as one calm spatial rhythm, allowing the guest to move through the spa without abrupt transitions or visual noise.

Concepts are developed with attention to material specification, lighting direction, FF&E logic and coordination with consultants, suppliers and implementation teams where the project requires continuity beyond the initial design stage.
